About US
Tomás and I are friends, study buddies, and graduation mates in the Civil Engineering program at the Metropolitan University in Caracas, Venezuela.
Tomas has worked in construction in South Florida for more than 20 years, and he has also worked in building and project management in Venezuela.
I worked in construction in Venezuela for a few years before taking over PUBLITECA C.A., my father's advertising agency started in 1984. Under my guidance, the firm rose to prominence in the fields of communication, advertising, and marketing in Venezuela. I moved to Miami in 2017 and soon after joined Tomas' company as an engineer, superintendent, and collaborator on numerous projects.
We identified the Healthy Home sector, which focuses on home health evaluation and diagnosis, lacked companies and presence in the region when looking for sectors with expansion potential and a shortage of services in Florida. Only inspection businesses dealt with specialized issues, such as Radon and Mold. This compelled us to investigate the matter further and devise a mechanism for determining the health status of homes, given that we spend most of our time there.
This is how Florida Healthy House LLC was born, as a proposal to evaluate homes following the eight criteria proposed by various organizations and adopted by the "US Department of Housing and Urban Development." The purpose is to assess the health of homes and implement the necessary procedures and remedial actions to ensure a healthy living environment.
We both see our jobs and professions as ways to help people and the community. We are sure that Florida Healthy House will help families understand that where they live dramatically affects their health.
